Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more. Responsibilities The charge nurse serves as the clinical leader responsible for operations and management of the ICU unit. Assumes responsibility for shift operations such as making appropriate assignments, coordinating care, resolving issues, functioning as the resource nurse, participating in staffing decisions, rounding on patients, and maintaining The Joint Commission (TJC) compliance.Qualifications Job Requirements:
Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). RN with Texas Board of Nursing - OR - current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA is required upon hire. Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is required upon hire. 1+ years of experience in an ICU hospital setting. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive informationJob Requirements Preferred:
