3003329866-2 Apply for this job now Job Description HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Labor and Delivery unit. In this role, you will coordinate patient care, lead bedside nursing teams, and support safe, evidence-based practices for mothers and newborns. You will oversee patient flow, triage acuity, and collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality, family-centered care. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, supporting training and competencies, assisting with policy adherence, and promoting a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced L&D environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee day-to-day nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit Support and guide bedside nurses, serving as charge/lead as needed Monitor patient acuity, bed placement, and patient flow for safe staffing Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Ensure adherence to evidence-based obstetric and neonatal care standards Support orientation, mentoring, and competency development for nursing staff Promote a culture of patient safety, compassion, and family-centered care Assist with implementation of quality improvement and patient experience initiatives Ensure accurate documentation and EMR use in compliance with policies Respond to emergencies and high-risk situations, supporting rapid clinical decision-making Required Skills Labor and delivery nursing Maternal-fetal assessment Fetal heart rate monitoring Neonatal stabilization Charge/lead nurse coordination Electronic medical records (EMR) Patient triage and prioritization Interdisciplinary care coordination Clinical staff mentoring/precepting Evidence-based obstetric care
