Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing department within our drug and alcohol treatment facility. This leadership role ensures high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational efficiency. The Nurse Manager plays a vital role in creating a safe, therapeutic environment for clients undergoing detoxification and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and Medical Aides. Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage. Promote a positive team culture centered on patient care and professional growth.

Clinical Oversight:

Ensure quality nursing care in accordance with medical protocols and individualized treatment plans. Oversee the administration of medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment). Monitor client health conditions and respond to medical emergencies when needed.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF). Maintain accurate documentation and medical records in accordance with HIPAA and facility policy. Participate in audits, incident reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Communication:

Serve as liaison between medical staff, clinical teams, and administrative leadership. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to holistic care planning. Communicate effectively with clients and families about medical concerns and care plans.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure:

Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of Texas. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Master's degree a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience. At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or detoxification preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of addiction medicine, detox protocols, and psychopharmacology. Ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism and compassion. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Work Environment:

24/7 facility — must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities. Fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Potential exposure to emotional situations and biohazardous materials.

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
