The Regional Nurse Manager manages nursing staff at Plano, Mesquite, McKinney, Las Colinas & Dallas clinics. Establishes clinic and personal goals and identifies steps for achieving goals. Meets with DON quarterly to review. Develops annual department budget and ensures budgetary compliance and accountability. Attends required meetings and participates in committees to enhance communication and promote continuous quality improvement. Ensures adherence to established interdepartmental processes. Implements new policies/procedures for the nursing staff at these clinics. Assists with hiring, and supervising new nursing employees. Monitors job performance of clinic staff to include coaching, counseling, goal setting and completion of the annual evaluation process. Performs payroll reporting and accounts payable approval functions. Provides support in the infusion room when necessary. Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies. Holds monthly nursing meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Must have management experience, chemotherapy experience preferred, but not required Must be licensed with Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, BSN preferred Must be able to communicate with patients, peers, physicians and the general public Must have telephone communication and etiquette skills Must have basic computer skills, including word processing, keyboarding and ability to learn computerized scheduling and charting system. Must have professional appearance Must be capable of managing multiple tasks Must be a team player
