•$66.02 / hour (Hourly rate commensurate with experience) Position Overview The Supervisor Clinical Resource Nurse II (CRN) assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates educational activities, competency validation, clinical care, programs, and initiatives for assigned hospital units within Harris Health System. Serving as a clinical leader and mentor, the CRN enculturates the Harris Health Nursing Professional Practice Model (NPPM), promotes ServiceFIRST behaviors, and ensures adherence to national, state, and regulatory nursing standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical Education & Competency:
Design, execute, and evaluate unit educational initiatives, competency assessments, and clinical programs to maintain exemplary care standards.
Unit Leadership & Human Resources:
Provide departmental leadership in quality improvement activities, support effective human resource management, and drive efficient resource allocation.
Culture & Standards:
Facilitate the enculturation of the Harris Health System Nursing Professional Practice Model (NPPM) and enforce institutional, state, and national clinical compliance standards.
Ethics & Mentorship:
Role model high ethical standards, mentor staff, engage in nursing research or community initiatives, and champion a customer-friendly environment using ServiceFIRST behaviors.
The company is looking for:
Licensure & Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
Clinical Specialty Certification or Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPD-BC) certification required within two (2) years of hire.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, AAS, or BSN).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Masters Degree with a focus on healthcare (Nursing preferred) desired.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in a related clinical practice area required.
Minimum of two (2) years of related clinical leadership experience required.
