Assistant Director of Nursing Chase City Health & Rehab Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Nursing Supervisor- RN to join our nursing leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and direct licensed nurses, CNAs, and other clinical team members
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, physician extenders, pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare partners
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment
- Support and participate in the facility's Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
- Assist with clinical education, staff development, and in-service training
- Direct and oversee the delivery of resident care to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Conduct resident assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions when needed
- Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and appropriate healthcare team members
- Perform routine chart audits to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Review physician orders, laboratory results, and pharmacy reports and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly and professionally
- Complete incident and accident reports and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions
- Participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary care planning meetings
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
- Ensure resident rooms are prepared appropriately for new admissions
- Perform skilled nursing procedures as needed within scope of practice

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required
- Minimum of two years of nursing leadership, management, long-term care, post-acute care, acute care, or urgent care experience preferred
- Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service abilities
