Resident Services Director (RN) The Village at Cedar Hill Windsor, VT Full-Time | Salaried Salary 95k-105k annually Lead with Compassion. Inspire Excellence. Make a Difference. The Village at Cedar Hill is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Resident Services Director . This leadership position oversees the health and wellness programs for residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities while ensuring the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The ideal candidate is a compassionate nursing leader who is passionate about serving older adults, developing strong care teams, and creating an environment where residents can achieve their highest level of independence, dignity, and quality of life. Position Summary The Resident Services Director is responsible for managing all aspects of resident health and wellness services, nursing care, resident assessments, care planning, staff education, and clinical compliance. This role works closely with the Executive Director, physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional resident outcomes and a person-centered approach to care. As the clinical leader of the community, the Resident Services Director is expected to participate in and maintain 24/7 on-call availability for resident care emergencies, staffing concerns, and other urgent operational needs.

Executive Director Primary Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Oversee resident health and wellness programs for Assisted Living and Memory Care. Ensure residents receive quality services that support their highest functional potential. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to coordinate resident care. Review, document, and implement physician orders. Monitor resident health status and address changes in condition promptly. Ensure compliance with accepted nursing standards and best practices. Resident Assessments & Care Planning Participate in admission screening and evaluation of prospective residents. Conduct and review resident assessments in accordance with Vermont regulations. Develop individualized care plans within required timelines. Update assessments and care plans following significant changes and at least annually. Review resident service levels quarterly and as needed. Maintain accurate and complete resident medical records. Staff Leadership & Development Partner with Human Resources to recruit, hire, and retain qualified care staff. Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained. Assist in resolving staffing shortages and scheduling concerns. Participate in employee orientation and onboarding. Teach state-approved Medication Administration training. Support ongoing staff education and regulatory training requirements. Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing resident care team. Health & Wellness Program Management Collaborate with the Medical Director, Activities Director, Rehabilitation Services, Dietary Services, and community leadership to develop resident wellness initiatives. Encourage resident participation in health and wellness programming. Ensure routine resident health monitoring and documentation are completed accurately. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance Chair the community Quality Assurance Committee. Lead quality improvement projects and performance initiatives. Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance efforts. Work toward excellence in assisted living quality standards and best practices. Ensure all Assisted Living and Memory Care policies comply with state regulations. Operations & Resource Management Oversee inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and OTC medications. Monitor payroll information, overtime usage, and staffing trends. Partner with maintenance staff to ensure medical equipment receives appropriate preventive maintenance. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Vermont. Experience Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience. Previous supervisory or management experience required. Experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, geriatrics, or senior living preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of nursing principles and standards of practice. Ability to utilize electronic health records and resident care assessment systems. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold staff accountable. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to person-centered care and resident dignity. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Ability to perform both clinical and administrative duties. Ability to remain active throughout the workday and respond to resident needs. Schedule & Availability
• This is a full-time salaried position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on resident needs, census, staffing levels, family concerns, physician coordination, and community operations.
• This position requires 24/7 on-call availability to provide clinical guidance, respond to emergencies, address staffing issues, and support resident care needs outside of regular business hours.
