The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $26.89 - $36.31 for MA or $30.12 - $45.18 for LPN. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary Responsible for the coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area. Assists with ensuring departmental goals are achieved, timelines met and service excellence is provided in all aspects of work. Acts as a subject matter expert. Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by physicians and other healthcare providers. The Clinic LPN Lead functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills/shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, resource nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting. Essential Functions Assigns work; plans and manages priorities, provides technical assistance, oversees staff schedules, monitors quality of work, monitors team projects, mentors staff, provides constructive feedback, oversees staff training, ensures quality improvement, provides leadership feedback on staff performance, and assists with goal setting for the team. Assesses and implements patient care under supervision. Prepares patient for examination. Provides direct patient care. Assists provider with examination and treatment of patient as directed. Under the oversight of provider, may be responsible for telephone triage using age specific triage protocol books and computerized resources. Documents patient care in health record according to department standards. Obtains and conveys information to and from patients, pharmacies, and other providers as directed and supervised by a licensed provider. May obtain referral authorizations for treatment as directed by provider. Ensures own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education Required:
Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program, Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program that allows caregivers to sit for the MOA certification exam will be considered. Experience Minimum of 2 years
Required:
clinical experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant (or Medical Office Assistant or performing like type work) and
Required:
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs
Credentials Required:
Upon Hire Licensed Practical Nurse - Washington or Washington State MA certification and
Required:
Upon Hire Basic Life Support If an MA, National Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Skills Basic computer skills required including familiarity with MS Office applications. (Required) Must have cooperative working and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families and staff. (Required) Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time. (Required) Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to function independently. (Required) Working Conditions Lifting Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
Push/Pull:
Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts). Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently. Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. Environmental Conditions Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment. Mental/Visual Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
