Exempt Position Summary The Nurse Manager is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to advance a meaningful career in patient care, services and operations. You will lead nursing staff with your dynamic nursing practice and oversee overall department operations. As Nurse Manager at MultiCare, your leadership, delegation, and collaboration across your unit are essential to achieving the best possible outcomes and experiences for patients and families. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure. Responsibilities You will define, develop, and monitor standards of patient care and nursing practices You will ensure availability and appropriate allocation of human and material resources Support successful collaboration between nursing, physicians, and other disciplines to achieve desired patient care outcome and department strategic plans You will coordinate towards the overall operations of assigned units and the provision of resources Facilitate optimal and cost-efficient patient care delivery Requirements Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS) Five (5) years of clinical experience in professional or technical role/function preferred Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity preferred About Allenmore Hospital MultiCare Allenmore Hospital has served Tacoma since 1929, offering convenient access to primary and specialty care services.
