ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Complete initial and ongoing assessments Handle admission of residents Medication Monitoring (including self-medicators and psychotropic medications) and health monitoring/screening Complete and review progress notes Update individual service care plans Arrange doctor appointments and setting up transportation Complete all nursing procedures Schedule and supervise all staff in absence of director Monitor TB tests for residents and staff Be prepared to work the floor if needed Use the appropriate lift per residents' care plans Perform additional duties as assigned
PHSYICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally Push/pull medication carts up to 300 pounds occasionally Twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, walk, and sit frequently Able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families, and the public
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Three to five years nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in long term care Must possess leadership qualities and excellent communication skills Supervisory experience preferred BSN preferred Follow/adhere to organization, federal/state regulations and guidelines, including resident/client rights, standard precautions, fire safety, and first aid
