$7,000 We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Charge Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. This vital role involves overseeing patient care activities, supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. The Charge Nurse acts as a pivotal team leader, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety, quality care, and efficient operations. Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership by coordinating daily nursing operations across various departments such as medical-surgical, critical care, geriatrics, and behavioral health. Supervise and support nursing staff, including assigning duties, mentoring new team members, and ensuring adherence to nursing policies and procedures. Oversee medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, tube feeding management, and sterile processing to ensure safety and compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Manage documentation of medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Facilitate discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and utilization management to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization. Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently; perform specimen collection/processing. Lead emergency response efforts. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by participating in staff meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance audits. Experience Proven experience as a registered nurse with demonstrated leadership in a hospital or long-term care setting. Skilled Nursing Care experience preferred Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems Skilled in managing geriatrics population, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Supervisory experience managing nursing teams. Familiarity with hospital policies on infection control, long-term care regulations, HIPAA compliance, and occupational health standards. Strong communication skills for effective managerial communication with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
