Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor/Charge Nurse
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team to work every weekend 12 hour shifts, with the option to work one 8 hours shifts during the week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical and supervisor background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services, supporting patients through their treatment journeys, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in various settings, including hospitals and long-term care facilities. Duties Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and medical history. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist in specialized procedures such as coding, dialyzing, pain management, and esthetic laser treatments. Participate in patient education programs within teaching hospitals or similar environments. Provide care in various settings, including Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and long-term care facilities. Oversee and supervise floor staff Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia. Experience in hospital settings or long-term care preferred. Knowledge of medical documentation standards and coding practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in health coaching or pain management is a plus.
