Job Description Overview The College of Human Sciences is hiring undergraduate students to support the School of Hospitality Management incubator within Hey Day. Students in this role assist with meal preparation, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, help serve and deliver food, and support basic inventory and supply needs. This position provides hands‑on experience in food service operations and supports the daily work of the Food Manager. Responsibilities Sets up kitchen for meal preparation and cook designated meal Keeps kitchen and equipment used in meal preparation cleaned properly Delivers food and beverages to other areas of the facility Serves meals and beverages to customers Utilizes proper storage and handling procedures on all food and supplies Places food and supply orders with vendors and checks invoices and inventories on all food and supplies Purchases food and supply items that are not made available from vendors from local stores Qualifications Enrolled student at Auburn University. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The student must be able to assist in the workplace of regular employees absence during periods of abnormal or peak workloads, special projects, seasonal work and emergencies.
