#90430 Job Description APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Nutritional Aide for a temporary crisis staffing opportunity.

Location:

North California ( Roseville or Sacramento or Fresno or Modesto or Santa Rosa or Vallejo or Walnut Creek or San Rafael or San Francisco ) Must be willing to work at any of the listed locations. ( Travel and Lodging Accommodations are provided )

Nutritional Aid Pay Rate :

$34/hr

Shift:

12 hours shifts - 6am-6:30pm or 7:00am-7:00pm

Duration:

May start as early as 10/01/2026, Assignment is expected to last 1-2 weeks ( Start Date may change, Must be flexible on duration and start date ) Job Summary Performs a variety of tasks to ensure proper set up and delivery of meals and supplies for patient and non-patient food service. Receives food and supplies and stores in appropriate storage areas. Essential Responsibilities Reviews, corrects and checks status of patient's menus, nourishment's, tube feeding, and test meals for compliance with current prescribed diet order, food preferences, nutrition adequacy, age specific needs, cultural background and religious practices. Visits patients - collects patient menus, records patient preferences, delivers trays, and stock supplies. Assembles trays and disposable items for patient tray set-up and ensures accuracy by matching printed tray ticket to the correct food and beverage items. Measures food portions into individual servings. Labels and dates all food items. Heats and serves trays as assigned. Timely delivery Of all food and supplies required for catering, on-call doctors or other non-patient feeding. Deliver trays, tube feedings, snacks and required supplies to appropriate patient care units and non-patient areas. Monitors the accuracy of the tray related to the MNT or diet order according to diet manual. Checks for quality Of product and is responsible for corrections and quality follow-up with manager/supervisor, staff, or vendor. Fills out the appropriate log, report & needed repairs according to local protocol. Reports patient food station and/or department equipment malfunctions per facility protocol. Cleans and sanitizes all work areas, equipment, storage areas, unit kitchens, and maintains these areas in a sanitary and orderly condition as designated by local protocols. Checks and records food temperatures and appropriate control point to ensure all foods are maintained at appropriate temperatures according to HACCP standards. Stores products in appropriate storage areas. Rotates food products using "FIFO" method (foods first in are used first). Stocks patient food stations with standard items according to predetermined stock levels. Checks the quality and appearance Of all food and supplies received. Reports discrepancies to supervisor/designee. Assists in training new emg

Perform other related duties as necessary. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Job Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Basic Qualifications:

Six months related experience in an acute care or skilled nursing facility. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other individuals within the organization. Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment. Also refer to Position Specifications outlined in the appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Knowledge Of therapeutic diets preferred.
