Hours:
4 pm-8:30 p.m., three days per week, with rotating weekends and holidays. The Hostess delivers the trays to the patients and checks patient ID to make sure it's the correct person and fills in for shifts as needed. Takes patient orders over the phone and in person while providing excellent customer service. Delivers carts to the correct floor or patient area. Serves trays to patients and determines if they need anything else. Ensures correct patient identity. Assists patients with opening containers and cutting food when requested. Assembles, retrieves and cleans patient trays. Assists in the dish room. Brews coffee and tea. May be required to restock other beverage areas. Re-stocks floor stock (if assigned) and follow standardized process related to floor stock Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training. Complies with all Trinity Health policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:
Must have food handling experience and be comfortable cleaning trays, assisting in the dish room. Previous healthcare or nutrition experience preferred. Must have basic computer knowledge. Basic knowledge related to hospital diets. Able to perform well in high functioning kitchen. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to speak, read and write in English.
