Job Summary and Qualifications As a Food & Nutrition Services Associate at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, providing delicious and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and others when they need it most. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital.
In this role:
+ Prepare various foods and beverages for patients. + Always prepare and portion foods following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets. + Consistently cover, label, and date foods and stores them properly according to procedures. + Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering, no eating on the job, etc.) + Always prepare and set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements. Restock as needed. + Always check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day. + Help to reduce cost by minimizing waste and over production. + Act in a cost-conscious manner by utilizing leftovers appropriately. + Promptly report food shortages, outdated items or any products received in an unacceptable condition.
Job Requirements:
+ High school diploma or GED . + Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certification required. + Food service, hospital diet office, and cash register experience preferred. + Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. + Must be 18 years of age.
