You get summers off! Pay is prorated out to cover summer months not working. even though you only work during the school year, the district spreads your total annual pay evenly across 12 months so that you receive a consistent paycheck year-round . That means your annual salary is prorated based on how many days you work compared to a full-year employee. You're still paid for every day you're contracted to work, but the total amount is divided into equal monthly payments instead of being paid only during the months you're working.

Job Duties:

Performs duties assigned by cafeteria manager. Examples of normal duties include prep, cooking and serving rotations. Performs in back-up positions, as needed. Prepare quality food according to a planned menu following the recipes provided. Deal sensitively and fairly with all staff members & customers from all backgrounds. Assist in the storage and care of food items and supplies; maintain a clean and organized storage area. Care for and use equipment in a safe and efficient manner Serve food according to meal schedules, departmental policies, procedures, and the monitoring of serving lines. Maintain cleanliness of assigned food serving areas throughout serving period. Perform daily and routine cleaning assignments assigned by cafeteria manager. Maintain personal appearance and hygiene. Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members. Assist with inventories and food productions records. Maintain garbage collection containers and areas in a neat and sanitary fashion. Assist custodial department with wiping tables, raising, lowering and moving dining tables before and after meals. Observe professional ethical standards in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Education Agency code of ethics. Perform all other duties as assigned
