Job Description

Assist the Child Nutrition Coordinator with the following: Prepping and serving meals to youth Following USDA & Health Department guidelines Following food safety procedures Heavy lifting of bulk foods Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen
Dishes Shopping Requirements:
18+, WDL, HS Diploma, food handlers card Academic hours are M-F 2-5 pm Summer hours are
M-F 12-4
With flexibility to fill in for the child nutrition coordinator Assist in supervision of USDA Nutrition Programs in accordance with the
USDA/CACFP/SFSP
requirements. Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities): 1. Assist in the preparation and delivery of the meal service according to the program meal requirements and make alterations/substitutions as needed.
  • Shopping.
  • Food prep and meal service.
  • Responsibilities may include shopping for meal components and packaging supplies 2.
Assist in establishing and maintaining program records and documentation that ensure compliance with
USDA/CACFP/SFSP
standards. 3. Assist in effectively implement and administer food service programs and related activities for the children of the Sequim communities. Create a productive work environment through training and supporting food program staff and volunteers. 5. Assist in Ensuring all health department standards are met. 6. Assist in ensuring all
USDA/CACFP/SFSP
standards, Roles and Responsibilities are followed and documented.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Required to drive Club van. 2. Follow all BGCOP child safety and youth development practices. 3. Other duties as assigned. 4. Ensure program compliance and marketing materials are displayed at sites and on transportation.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
  • Experience in working with food service.
  • Ability to organize, data entry
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Valid State of Washington Food Handler's Card.
  • Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams Physical Requirement/Work Environment:
Kitchen, indoor and outdoor environment. May require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.,
