School Occupational Therapist Iron City OT Homewood, AL Job Details Part-time $35 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications School experience Master's degree Bachelor's degree Occupational Therapy Organizational skills Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Occupational Therapist - School-Based Position 2026-2027 School Year Iron City OT is seeking a passionate and collaborative Occupational Therapist to join our school team for the 2026-2027 school year. Iron City OT is a locally owned pediatric therapy company based in Homewood, Alabama. We support children and families across outpatient and school-based settings and partner with multiple school districts in our region. As a company established and led by an occupational therapist, we understand the value of strong clinical support, collaboration, and helping therapists feel confident and successful in their roles. Position Overview The Occupational Therapist will support students within the school setting through evaluations, direct therapy services, collaboration with educational teams, and IEP-related documentation and reporting. Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for: Conducting occupational therapy evaluations for students within the school setting Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and school-based goals Providing direct occupational therapy services to students Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to goal development Completing documentation, progress reports, and IEP-related reporting requirements in a timely manner Collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success Maintaining compliance with school district and state guidelines Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy Active Alabama state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Passion for helping children thrive in educational environments Why Join Iron City OT?
