Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Receptionist/Vision Therapy Assistant to join our eye care team! In this role, you will be providing essential clinical support along with learning the rewarding world of vision therapy. Vision therapy is the programming and completion of hands on activities in order to improve the connection between a patient's eyes and brain. This helps people of all ages; a child's ability to learn in school, improvement in visual comfort, reduction of double vision and the ability to help a traumatic brain injury patient regain their daily activities. We see patients of all ages with a special emphasis on pediatrics and traumatic brain injury patients. No experience necessary as we are willing to complete on-site training, however experience working with children is a plus! Responsibilities Welcome patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and efficiently handle intake procedures. Assist the vision therapist with programmed activities and treatment plans Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems), ensuring all patient information is accurate, complete, and HIPAA compliant. Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing payments using retail math skills. Skills Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and optometry fundamentals Excellent communication skills for front desk interactions and patient education.
