Job Description

Header Overview We are seeking a dedicated outpatient occupational therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy with experience in neurological conditions, orthopedics, and geriatrics. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on improving patient independence and quality of life through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive conditions, including physiology, anatomy, cognition and vision evaluations Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery outcomes Educate patients and their families on exercises, compensatory strategies, energy conservation techniques, and injury prevention strategies Facilitate return to work, driving readiness and community reintegration activities when appropriate Document treatment progress accurately using EMR systems and maintain detailed patient records Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy techniques and medical terminology relevant to outpatient care Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice Experience in outpatient clinics Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and patient management Skilled in discharge planning and developing effective care plans for diverse patient populations Expertise in occupational therapy for neurological conditions Ability to work with pediatric, geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, and medically complex patients Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward rehabilitation goals Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the team This role offers a rewarding opportunity for licensed occupational therapists committed to enhancing patient recovery through comprehensive outpatient services.
Pay:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
