Job Description

Home Health Occupational Therapist/OT - Retention Bonus! New and Recent Grads Welcome! Excellent Benefits Dependable Health Services is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist/OT in the Nogales, Arizona area who will be responsible for planning and implementing therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, and maintain their daily living and work skills. The OT in this role will provide assessments and treatments for patients who are recovering from illness, injury or a disability in the comfort of their homes. The Home Health Occupational Therapist/OT will ensure patients are given the appropriate treatment and care that allows them to become independent and regain their ability to function in their daily lives.
Responsibilities:
Work with patients in their homes to assess their current functional abilities and needs. Develop a proper treatment plan and interventions that align with the patient's needs. Assist patients in increasing their independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). Work with patients to strategize ways to complete everyday activities more easily. Help patients develop better hand-eye coordination. Aid patients in managing and staving off emotional and mental health issues, such as dementia and depression. Provide instruction and assistance to the caregivers or family members in carrying out specific therapy interventions. Educate patients and their families on how to manage the patients' conditions or disabilities. Regularly document patient progress in patient records to monitor improvement. Comply with the regulatory and compliance requirements of all state and federal agencies.
Requirements:
Minimum of a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school. Active Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients in a familiar home environment. Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
