Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Occupational Therapist dedicated to making a positive impact in a school environment. Working full-time during the 2026-2027 school year, you will support students in achieving their individual functional goals through targeted therapeutic interventions.

35 hours per week
Compensation:
$55-$70 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Provide direct therapy services to support students' participation in academic and daily school activities. Assist with the adaptation of classroom materials and environments to promote accessibility. Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting interventions as needed. Collaborate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goal setting and service planning.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatric or school-based settings. Proven ability to work effectively with children having diverse needs and abilities. Strong communication skills to partner with educators, parents, and students. Knowledge of best practices and legal requirements related to school-based occupational therapy services. Enthusiasm for fostering student independence and participation in the academic environment.
