Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working alongside students and educators in a vibrant school setting near Daly City, CA. In this role, you will utilize your Occupational Therapy expertise to support the growth and success of students from Pre-K through middle school. The focus will be on fine and gross motor development, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement effective strategies for students with a range of abilities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification (or eligibility) for the state of California Demonstrated experience supporting children in grades Pre-K to 8th, with a focus on elementary and middle school populations Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing individualized plans to enhance fine and gross motor skills Previous background in pediatric or school-based settings highly valued Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other service providers Organizational skills for managing varied caseloads across different grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess students motor skill needs and develop targeted treatment interventions Deliver direct therapy to students in both one-on-one and group formats, focusing on fostering independence in school-related tasks Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within classroom routines and curriculum Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Provide guidance to staff and families to reinforce strategies at home and in the classroom As a valued contract professional, you will enjoy collaborating within a dedicated school environment where your knowledge of occupational therapy and passion for student development will make a difference every day.
