9591859-92407 Job Description Step into a meaningful role supporting student growth and development as a Leave Occupational Therapist for K-8th grade learners. In this contract position, you'll work closely with enthusiastic students, passionate educators, and a dedicated COTA to ensure a seamless continuum of support across 2-4 school sites. The assignment is structured on a trimester basis (AugustNovember, NovemberJanuary, Januaryend-of-year), offering flexibility while contributing to making a tangible impact throughout the academic year.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapist license applicable for school settings Previous experience in a school-based OT role, preferably serving diverse K-8 caseloads Expertise in writing IEP goals, documenting progress, and supporting legal compliance Ability to foster inclusive, supportive environments for students with varying needs Strong organizational skills to coordinate services across multiple sites Collaborative team approach, comfortable attending IEP meetings and site events Experience mentoring or collaborating with a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of approximately 55-60 K-8 students, addressing their unique needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track measurable progress Conduct direct and consultative OT services tailored to each students goals Attend and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and families Document evaluations, therapy notes, and communication in compliance with school and legal requirements Engage in school site activities and events as a proactive member of the educational team Coordinate and supervise COTA support to maximize student benefit Make a difference in students lives while building your skills in a supportive and flexible educational setting.
