You will work closely with patients of all ages, including those with disabilities, geriatrics, and children, to create personalized care plans that address their unique needs. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will empower you to provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. What you'll do Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective discharge planning and case management. Provide therapy services to individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. Deliver early intervention strategies to support pediatric patients and their families. Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to guide therapeutic interventions effectively. Document patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on techniques that promote independence and well-being. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in occupational health. Basic qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices. Preferred qualifications Experience working in acute care settings or intensive care units (ICU). Familiarity with skilled nursing facility operations and post-acute care processes. Background in speech therapy techniques is a plus. Experience in school settings or community-based programs for children. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
