Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a contract opportunity supporting high school students as an Occupational Therapist. This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative school environment near Encinitas, CA, serving students with mild to moderate needs across two campuses. Bring your expertise in school-based therapy and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to a role that balances autonomy and teamwork. You'll engage with a current caseload of 43 students, delivering quality therapeutic services that help students reach their potential.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Active license as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in school settings with high school-age students Strong background working with IEPs and multidisciplinary education teams Ability to work effectively in a role that spans two locations Experience managing caseloads similar in size (approx. 43 students) Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills
Responsibilities Include:
Providing direct therapy and consultative OT services to high school students with mild to moderate needs Developing, updating, and implementing IEP goals in collaboration with educators and families Assessing student abilities, tracking progress, and maintaining detailed records for each case Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments Flexibly traveling between two educational sites each week (35 hours total) Engaging families in the therapy process, offering strategies and updates as needed This contract position places you in a dynamic setting with supportive colleagues and access to resources designed for student success.
