Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working 35 hours per week as an Occupational Therapist serving high school students with mild to moderate needs across two school locations. This engaging role is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering students and enhancing their educational experience through tailored support. Preferred qualifications and experience for a strong fit include: Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California Demonstrated background in school-based OT practice Proficient in conducting, attending, and documenting within the IEP process Experience working with adolescents, ideally in high school settings Ability to manage a dynamic caseload—current assignment includes 43 students Skilled in adapting interventions for mild to moderate student needs Flexibility to travel between two campus locations as needed Collaborative mindset, teaming with educators and families to drive student achievement Primary responsibilities: Provide direct OT services to high school students in alignment with IEP goals Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress Support school staff with strategies to foster student participation and independence Document session notes and maintain compliance with educational and state guidelines Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making Adjust supports as needed to meet the evolving needs of your caseload Discover the difference you can make in students' lives while working in a structured, supportive educational setting.
