9591859-91739 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help students achieve success in their educational environments. This position spans a typical school day scheduleMonday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pmoffering consistent hours and a sense of structure. The assignment is trimester-based, allowing for flexibility and the chance to contribute meaningfully while the role is filled internally.

Key Qualifications:

Holds a valid Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements Excellent communication skills for working with students, teachers, families, and other specialists Ability to work collaboratively and provide mentorship to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA)

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of 55-60 students across multiple sites (2-4 elementary/middle schools) Conduct assessments and develop individualized IEPs in collaboration with educational teams Write and monitor progress toward therapy goals, maintaining detailed documentation Deliver direct and consultative OT services to K-8th grade students Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and school site activities Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for student growth, partnering with families and staff This unique opening provides the chance to work closely with dedicated support staffincluding COTAsand create a significant impact for students as they develop vital life and learning skills.
