Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact this fall as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting elementary-age students and their educational teams. A leave of absence has created an exciting opportunity to provide highly valued OT services on-site at a vibrant elementary campus in the San Juan Capistrano area. This full-time contract runs from September through December, with potential part-time flexibility for the right professional. As the sole therapist in this essential role, you'll collaborate closely with staff, teachers, and families, ensuring continuity of services for students while their regular OT recovers. With school board changes in progress, your adaptability and positive approach will be especially appreciated.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Active California OT license Demonstrated school-based OT experience strongly preferred Comfort supporting PreK-5th grade; ability to quickly adapt to new environments Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills Willingness to work onsite (teletherapy not available) COTAs not considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT interventions as outlined in student IEPs Collaborate with general and special education teams to support student participation and success Maintain consistent, clear documentation on student progress Actively participate in IEP meetings as needed Support smooth transitions and continuity of care for students during the assigned coverage period This contract offers the chance to step into a meaningful role, becoming an integral support for students and staff at a school where your expertise will be deeply valued.
