Job Title:
Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
Angels Nursing Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team in Los Angeles, CA. As an integral part of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy interventions to our residents. Role:
As an Occupational Therapist at Angels Nursing Health Center, you will be responsible for planning, delegating, and providing safe and competent occupational therapy interventions as ordered by physicians. You will work closely with our therapy team, Administrator, and support staff to ensure that our residents receive the highest degree of quality care.
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to increase client independence and functioning Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, provisional licensees, students, and support personnel Identify need for referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive care needs Demonstrate competent technical skills according to current Occupational Therapy standards of practice Communicate changes in resident condition Participate in collaborative care conferences Provide accurate and timely billing records and supervise supporting clinical documentation Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and community partners Observe confidentiality and safeguards for all patient information
Department Duties:
Assist with training and education of facility and professional partners Perform screening rounds as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation to assess for client needs and environmental safety Provide recommendations to Director of Rehab and other team members opportunities for business improvement, safety concerns, or other updates Participate in OT/OTA student development and educational programs Ensure compliance with mandatory education, training, and competency programs
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (BACHELORS) Current, active Occupational Therapy License (required) Effective and efficient time management skills Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required Previous experience and knowledge to provide appropriate care in post-acute or long-term care environment (preferred) Knowledge of current occupational therapy practices and procedures, including laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
