The Occupational Therapist will work with adults experiencing mental health symptoms, functional limitations, reduced independence, impaired daily living skills, social isolation, and difficulty participating in structured activities. The Occupational Therapist will provide individual and/or group-based occupational therapy interventions focused on improving activities of daily living, functional independence, physical activity tolerance, coping skills, healthy routines, safety awareness, social participation, and overall quality of life. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions for

clients. Facilitate occupational therapy groups focused on ADLs, functional movement, exercise-based activities, coordination, balance, energy conservation, coping skills, routine building, and community living skills. Develop individualized treatment goals related to functional independence and mental health recovery. Document client participation, progress, barriers, and response to interventions in accordance with program policy. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrist/PMHNP, nursing staff, social workers, therapists, activity staff, and administration. Assist clients in improving daily functioning, self-care, social engagement, problem-solving, and safe participation in meaningful activities. Maintain professional, ethical, and client-centered care at all times. Requirements Current and valid California Occupational Therapist license required. Ability to lead therapeutic groups with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar disorder, cognitive limitations, and functional decline. Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. CPR/BLS certification preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with adults or older adults in a structured treatment program. Knowledge of ADL training, functional activity programs, therapeutic exercise, sensory regulation, coping skills, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Work Environment This position is located in a structured outpatient mental health program. Services are provided during daytime program hours in a professional clinical setting.
