This contract opportunity offers you the chance to support a vibrant school community by providing occupational therapy services to students in need of expert care. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through December, you'll cover leaves for a full-time schedule. Essential qualifications include prior school-based experience and confidence handling a varied K-8th grade caseload. You'll collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to help every student thrive within the classroom and beyond.
Key Requirements:
Valid Occupational Therapist license (OT) in California Demonstrated experience as an OT in school settings Ability to manage and organize K-8th grade caseloads Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized student care
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop customized treatment plans for students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional classroom participation Deliver direct therapy services and consult with educators on appropriate classroom accommodations and modifications Monitor and document student progress; participate in IEP meetings and provide clear updates to the education team and families Adapt strategies to suit diverse student needs and changing priorities throughout the assignment Maintain professional standards and compliance with all regulations This contract assignment provides an immediate opportunity to make a meaningful difference in student lives while working in a supportive school environment.
