Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students' growth in a vibrant school setting near Placerville, CA. Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Minimum of one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric environment Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Implement therapeutic activities tailored to students' learning and developmental objectives Track, document, and observe students' progress, collaborating with the OT to update intervention strategies as needed Partner with teachers, school staff, and parents to advocate for and meet students' individual needs Maintain detailed and compliant records in line with state and district protocols Engage in continued learning to stay abreast of best practices in occupational therapy
