Job Description
- School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Riverside, CA Area
- Up to $80/hour DOE
- Up to 30 Hours Per Week
- Full School Year Contract | K-12 Caseload
- We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in the Riverside area.
This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to support student development, independence, and success in the educational environment. The Occupational Therapist will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, provide direct therapy services, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Essential Responsibilities
- + Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students referred for services + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs + Provide direct occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals + Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement + Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding accommodations and services + Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed + Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and service records + Comply with all district, state, and federal regulations related to special education services •Qualifications•+ Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing + Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program + School-based or pediatric experience preferred + Knowledge of special education processes and IEP development preferred + Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills + Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities •Requirements•+ Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California + One (1) year of professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred + Compliance with all applicable professional standards and ethical guidelines + Current CPR certification if required by assignment + TB clearance (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, as applicable) + Current health screening or certification as required by state regulations or contract requirements + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age •Benefits•At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs •Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
