Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding full-time opportunity as a skilled Occupational Therapist supporting charter schools throughout the Peninsula (Redwood City/East Palo Alto) and San Lorenzo area. Through a contract position spanning the full school year, you'll provide essential therapeutic services across five vibrant school sites, making a difference in the lives of students in diverse educational settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Occupational Therapist license in California Previous experience in school-based therapy (preferred) Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable managing a caseload across multiple locations Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation Passionate about fostering student growth and independence
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in five charter schools Assess, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans addressing each student's needs Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and documentation Work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to promote optimal student outcomes Travel between assigned schools in the Peninsula and San Lorenzo areas Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and district expectations Assist in creating a supportive, accessible environment for every learner
