  • Onsite Position Summary As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide school-based occupational therapy services that improve students' access to instruction, increase independence, and support meaningful participation in the educational environment.

You will conduct evaluations, develop individualized service recommendations, and provide direct and consultative therapy services aligned with student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and educational goals. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify student needs and determine appropriate school-based services.
  • Develop individualized occupational therapy goals, intervention plans, and service recommendations aligned with student needs and IEP requirements.
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, visual-motor, and functional performance skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraeducators, families, school leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation, independence, and access to instruction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, monitor student progress, and ensure services comply with IDEA, state, and organizational requirements. Requirements Education
Required:

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

  • Preferred (if applicable): Three or more years of occupational therapy experience, including experience in K-12 school settings. Licenses & Certifications
Required:

Current California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) license.

  • Additional certifications (if applicable): Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Skills
  • Strong knowledge of school-based occupational therapy assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education service delivery.
  • Ability to analyze assessment data and develop evidence-based therapy recommendations that support student achievement and independence.
  • Strong consultation, collaboration, communication, organizational, and case management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet compliance timelines, and build collaborative partnerships across school teams. Benefits (only for temporary roles) Per Diem / Temporary (Hourly) Roles
