Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families. At Sensational Development, we emphasize caregiver collaboration with a strengths-based approach and are seeking a therapist who feels confident with these approaches. In this role, you will assess and support children from birth to three years old, helping them develop essential skills to thrive in their daily environments. Your approach and compassionate care will empower families, promote independence, and foster optimal developmental outcomes through tailored interventions. This position is home health meaning you will travel to the homes of our clients to offer services in the child's natural environment. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations of infants and toddlers to identify strengths, barriers to engagement in daily occupations, and assess impact of delays. Develop individualized care plans that incorporate strategies for assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), play, sensory processing, and feeding to support early developmental milestones. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement therapy interventions that align with each child's unique needs and family goals. Provide guidance on discharge planning and transition services as children age out of early intervention programs or move into other healthcare or educational settings. Assist children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities by applying evidence-based techniques tailored to their specific challenges. Document daily sessions, progress, update care plans regularly, and outcomes. Educate families on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, and strategies to promote ongoing development within the home environment. Experience 1 year Proven experience working with infants and young children in early intervention settings or pediatrics. Experience in addressing feeding skills. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and other therapists to ensure cohesive support strategies.

Pay:

$75.00 - $85.00 per hour
