Job Description

Step into a contract opportunity for a dedicated occupational therapy professional to support student success in a school-based setting near Yermo, CA. This position is tailored to those who thrive in a collaborative environment, providing crucial OT services in person for the academic community. With a January start and a commitment of 35 hours per week, you'll make a significant impact by fostering students' independence and participation in educational activities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for California Experience delivering OT services in school environments is highly valued Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Solid understanding of IEP process and special education law preferred Comfortable working exclusively in person in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional, adaptive, and sensory needs within the educational context Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy goals as part of the IEP process Provide direct in-person OT intervention to students on your caseload Consult with educators, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support Maintain accurate records and documentation required for billing clients Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning Assist in the collection of additional student information as needed
