1. Registered Occupational Therapist, currently licensed in the state of Colorado. 2. Eligible for a Colorado Department of Education Professional Special Services Provider license. 3. Strong working knowledge of motor and sensory-motor development and the application of these principles within a school-based educational framework. 4. Previous experience in a school-aged or pediatric setting preferred.

To support students (ages 3-21) in accessing their learning environment and achieving functional independence. The OT provides assessment, direct support, and consultation to ensure student achievement as defined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP), addressing functional goals within the school setting to maximize academic and social participation.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Educational Assessment & Evaluation a. Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services under IDEA. b. Analyze student performance across school settings (classrooms, cafeteria, playground) to identify specific impacts on learning and participation. c. Use data-driven results to recommend educationally relevant service frequency and duration. 2. IEP Development & Program Implementation a. Collaboratively develop measurable, educationally relevant goals and objectives. b. Provide direct and consultative services focused on functional skill acquisition and environmental adaptation. c. Design interventions for executive functioning, self-help, and transition programming that align with educational standards. d. Ensure all recommendations and services are limited to what is "educationally necessary" for the student to access their school program. 3. Collaboration & Consultation a. Work effectively and respectfully within a multidisciplinary team, contributing specialized knowledge to pre-referral (RTI) processes, child study teams, building-level meetings, and IEP staffings. 4. Professional Oversight & Systems Compliance a. Supervise and monitor the performance of assigned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with state licensure requirements. b. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records using BOCES-mandated electronic management and IEP systems. c. Ensure all documentation demonstrates independent mastery of BOCES, state, and federal mandated timelines and compliance standards. 5. Professionalism & Growth a.
