Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a vibrant area near Fairfield, CT. This position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, and extends through the beginning of December—offering the perfect setting to make a true difference during a key academic time. You'll collaborate with educators and families to foster student growth and empowerment, working directly with a diverse group of learners from kindergarten through high school. Your days will include a range of engaging activities, from hands-on interventions with small groups to individualized support, all tailored to help students achieve their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut or eligibility for licensure Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP goals, documentation, and data tracking Ability to adapt interventions across elementary, middle, and high school age groups Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct OT services to students, both one-on-one and in groups Develop and implement IEP-based interventions and strategies Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation Consult with teachers and staff to support integration of OT strategies in classroom settings Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with related service providers Adjust techniques to match the unique needs of each age group and caseload This is your opportunity to provide meaningful support to students, enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, and work alongside passionate professionals in a collaborative school community.
