Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role providing essential Occupational Therapy services to students across a diverse K-12 caseload. This contracted, part-time position offers the unique opportunity to support learners throughout several schools, fostering student success and independence during a leave coverage assignment from October 2026 through March 1, 2027. Your expertise will be valued as you collaborate with dedicated educators and families, ensuring students receive the interventions and guidance critical for their development. Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid credentials for school-based practice in Connecticut Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families Flexibility and resourcefulness in managing an itinerant, multi-site caseload Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a variety of cases independently
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services for a range of students across multiple schools (grades K-12) Evaluate students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Implement interventions addressing fine motor skills, sensory needs, and adaptive functioning Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district and legal requirements Consult with teachers and staff to support student participation and classroom adaptations Enhance your professional experience in a rewarding, student-centered environment.
