Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a vibrant Autism program for the 2026-2027 school year. This school-based role is conveniently located near Norwich, CT and will serve five classrooms across three different buildings, working directly with approximately 50 students. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, with a total of 22.5 hours each week. We are seeking either one Occupational Therapist (OT) or two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide essential services.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working in school settings highly preferred Background supporting students with autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays is a plus Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teachers, aides, and other school staff Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs Commitment to fostering growth, independence, and skill development in young learners

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct therapy to students in dedicated elementary Autism program classrooms Collaborate with classroom staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs) Document progress, participate in meetings, and contribute insights for student development Travel between multiple school buildings within the district as required Maintain a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic environment for students
