Elementary School Occupational Therapist Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based contract position in Ridgefield, Connecticut, for the 20262027 school year. This position will serve students at an elementary school, with all services provided on one campus for a convenient and consistent schedule. The OT will collaborate with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals to support students' participation and success in the educational environment. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct services to elementary students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals. Address fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and functional skills as appropriate. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers. Provide classroom-based strategies and recommendations to support student independence and participation. Qualifications Connecticut Occupational Therapist licensure required. Appropriate Connecticut school-based credentialing required. Ability to work effectively in an elementary school environment. Experience Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred. Experience working with elementary-aged students is beneficial. Skills Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and multidisciplinary teams. Adaptability and a student-centered approach to occupational therapy services.
