9677813-06066 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract position supporting young learners in an elementary Autism program near Vernon Rockville, CT. This part-time opportunity runs from ASAP through June 2027, and is perfect for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) passionate about improving students lives. Youll spend 22.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, providing direct services in five specialized classrooms spread across three school buildings. With approximately 50 students enrolled, your expertise will be crucial in helping them achieve greater independence and participation in their daily school activities.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid OT or COTA licensure in Connecticut Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort working as part of a supportive team Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in elementary Autism program classrooms Collaborate with teachers, aides, and educational staff to support student IEP goals Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to school and legal requirements Adapt treatment plans to meet student needs and monitor ongoing progress Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as necessary This contract position offers a consistent schedule during the school year, with a meaningful caseload that allows you to truly make a difference.
