Job Description

Category Schools - Orientation and Mobility Specialist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist on a contract basis! This on-site role offers the chance to make a significant impact as you deliver direct therapy and compensatory services to students throughout the Oviedo/Sanford area. Summer camp and school-year schedules create a dynamic and varied environment, and you'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to empower students toward greater independence and mobility.
Key Qualifications:
National Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Licensure required Vision certification for Orientation and Mobility Prior experience with school-age caseloads preferred Valid driver's license and social security card Ability to provide a professional license (physical copy) Willingness to complete Form 1403 Fingerprinting and I9 forms Flexibility in working across multiple sites with travel as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct orientation and mobility services to students in grades K-12 Conduct evaluations as needed and provide compensatory services Partner with school teams to develop and implement individualized student plans Participate in training and planning sessions, including a May onboarding session Contribute to both summer camps and school-year programming, supporting both elementary and high school students
