Job Description

Encompass Health is seeking a Hospital Occupational Therapy Lead to guide high-quality, patient-centered rehab care. In this on-site role, you will coordinate OT services, lead and mentor therapists, and deliver hands-on evaluation and treatment for diverse inpatient rehab patients. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, champion evidence-based practice, and support performance improvement. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily occupational therapy services in the inpatient rehab unit Provide comprehensive OT evaluations and individualized treatment plans Supervise, mentor, and support occupational therapists and assistants Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to optimize outcomes Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with standards Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives Educate patients and families on home programs and safety Support orientation and ongoing training of therapy staff Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Inpatient rehabilitation care planning Interdisciplinary team collaboration Staff supervision and mentoring Documentation and EMR proficiency Patient and family education Neurorehabilitation techniques Functional mobility and ADL training Quality and performance improvement Time management and caseload prioritization
