Job Summary and Qualifications Lead Occupational Therapist We are currently looking for a Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Lead OT on our team, you will provide shift supervision and monitor day-to-day diagnostic and therapeutic services & rehabilitation within the Occupational Therapy Department. Your duties and responsibilities may include: Assess learning needs and capabilities of the patients and caregivers Initiate patient and family education in a timely manner relative to age, length of stay, readiness to learn and emotional status Communicate effectively and work with physicians and/or other members of the interdisciplinary team in meeting patient needs Demonstrate use of the interdisciplinary team approach to patient care; collaborate, confer and update other team members regarding patient progress, treatment, and discharge planning Actively contribute to and work towards hospital wide improvement in meeting core measures, patient safety and service excellence goals
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters preferred Minimum experience: 2 years in appropriate healthcare setting; Supervisory experience preferred Current Florida Occupational Therapist license Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills Benefits HCA Florida Blake Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
