Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Discover Fort Pierce, FL—a lively coastal city where sunshine, ocean breezes, and a welcoming community await. As a travel Occupational Therapist, you'll have the unique opportunity to develop professionally in a renowned hospital setting while soaking in the vibrant local culture, enjoying picturesque beaches, and exploring endless outdoor adventures during your downtime. This assignment will immerse you in a 420-bed acute care environment, working alongside a large, collaborative team of 46 OT professionals. Fort Pierce's healthcare community is known for its advanced practices and award-winning departments, including a Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 2 & 3 NICU, PICU, and CARF-accredited 50-bed Inpatient Rehab Facility. Here, you'll gain exposure to diverse patient populations and the latest in hospital-based occupational therapy—all while expanding your resume and growing your adaptability.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift only, no on-call requirements
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Active OT license Current BLS certification Acute care experience preferred, but new travelers are welcome Adaptable to a fast-paced environment Comfortable functioning independently Proficient with Meditech & Redoc documentation systems Willingness to wear gray scrubs
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations and deliver comprehensive treatments Manage a caseload of up to 8 evaluations in an 8-hour shift Provide care using portable acute care equipment Document patient progress and outcomes accurately Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care
