Encompass Health seeks a Clinical Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will evaluate patients recovering from major illnesses and injuries, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to restore function, safety, and independence in daily activities. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, document outcomes, and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, compassion, and continuous professional growth in a fast-paced rehab setting. Responsibilities Evaluate patients with functional, cognitive, and sensory impairments following illness or injury Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and goals Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team, including PT, SLP, nursing, and physicians Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary rounds Mentor and support therapy assistants and students as appropriate Contribute to quality improvement, clinical excellence, and best-practice initiatives Maintain licensure, certifications, and ongoing professional development Required Skills Patient evaluation and assessment Occupational therapy treatment planning Neurorehabilitation techniques Orthopedic and post-surgical rehab ADL and functional mobility training Cognitive and perceptual rehabilitation Use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology Interdisciplinary team collaboration Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education
